Rachel House Story
The Rachel House Pregnancy Resource Centers are dedicated to helping meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those who seek assistance when dealing with an unplanned pregnancy. Our focus is to protect the unborn and provide spiritual guidance in a Christ-centered environment.
The Rachel House opened in Blue Springs in January of 1992. Founded by the LIGHT House of Kansas City, it became an independent non-profit organization in February 1998. In March of 2003, the second center opened after separating from their former affiliation with the Crisis Pregnancy Centers of the Midwest. A third center was added in May 2004 in Lee’s Summit. This third location also serves as the administrative headquarters for the ministry.

Thousands of women receive pregnancy related services each year. Each center offers free medical pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, education and material needs assistance. Services are always offered with compassion and confidentiality.
The ministry is a Christ-centered, life-affirming organization governed by a Board of Directors. Paid and volunteer staff are committed to providing caring and quality services to those who come to them for help.

"A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more."
