Rachel House Ministry

It is a concern about an unplanned pregnancy that brings clients through the doors of a Rachel House center. Free pregnancy tests and confidential results and information are provided by caring staff. Clients are treated with compassion and love as we listen to her story and assess her needs.

If the test is negative, valuable information is discussed about her risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection. Sexual integrity is encouraged as a way to avoid future unplanned pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and damaged emotions. Biblical truth is offered as well as practical steps that can be taken to avoid tempting or dangerous situations.

When pregnancy test is positive, both mother and baby are cared for immediately. Factual information about abortion procedures and risks are shared to ensure clients are well informed. An ultrasound is offered to show the client the reality of the life she is carrying. The option of adoption is presented with compassion and professional adoption counseling is offered. An individual needs assessment is conducted and appropriate community referrals are utilized. Rachel House offers clients many ongoing education opportunities to provide information for healthy choices for mom and baby.

The love of Christ is shared at every opportunity with those who seek assistance.

Rachel House is empowered by ministry partners whose calling, passion and commitment fuel the ministry efforts. Volunteers, donors and prayer warriors are all partners in this work. 

Volunteers are the key to saving babies and changing lives at Rachel House. It is because of a large volunteer staff that we are able to continue this important work.

These friends of Rachel House believe with us in the sanctity of human life and the truth of eternal life. The support they offer is vital to our existence and this work would not be accomplished without them.
